6 Nations Sweepstake so far
by andy on Feb.09, 2009, under Blog
England v Italy = 36 + 11 = 47
Ireland v France = 30 + 21 = 51
Scotland v Wales = 13 + 26 = 39
Which gives a total of 137 and average of 45.66 per game. Multiply this by 15 and you get a projected score after the first game of 685, but as in previous years, this can all change very quickly.
There’s still time to get your guesses in. So long as you get it to me before Wednesday 11th Feb of this week, you have until the end of next weekend to get the money to me.
See the 6 Nations Sweepstake page for a list of current guesses and details.

There is now £25 paid up entries and only 5 days to go until entry options are closed. Anyone that is left to pay has to get the money to me before the end of the second weekends games, or your entry will be removed.
Sorry to be harsh about it but its only fair to to everyone if rules are stuck to.

The idea is simple enough. Predict the score for each of the 6 nations games and add all the points together. This number is you Total Points Prediction. (As an illustration, the results and points totals since 2000 can be found here). Pick that number before anyone else, and pay £1, and it is a winner takes all game.
The deadline will be Wednesday, February 11th, giving everyone enough time to judge all the team’s performances after the first set of games. I won’t take any entries after this date.
Entries need to be submitted to me, in a first come first served basis.
Any entry with payment outstanding after 2nd set of games will be removed from the entry list.
If nobody gets the score exactly right, the money will go to whoever is closest, and if that is split between two guesses, then the money will be split between the two.
Any questions?
