The Great Welsh beer and Cider festival this year moved to the CIA having outgrown it’s previous home of City Hall.
Some might think the new venue was a little too big, being over 5 times the size of the old, but i’m sure it’ll grow into it in the years to come.
This year, as in 2006, the Otley O8 won champion beer of Wales. A worthy winner. And having been working on the Otley bar for the 3 days, a popular one.

Jack took a boat ride around Cardiff Bay last Saturday. He seemed to enjoy himself, especially when he realised there was a free buffet on the boat left over from a previous trip. Add to that looking lovable enough for people to want to spoil him…

A very pleasant trip round the bay, if your down there with little else to do I reccomend it as something different. the cost is about £5 depending on if your goinground the bay, up the Taff to the castle or consessions.

Test post from my Nokia lifeblog. I’ve been having difficulty with this as my wordpress installation runs from a subdirectory. for anyone else out there not running wordpress from the root of thier domain. have a check through the lifeblog.php file. search for /lifeblog.php and append to the front of it the sub directory you use for wordpress.
Something that should be checked if your having difficulties are the permissions for the lifeblog.php file (should be executable). Also check the account and passwords you use. Remember that the password in the lifeblog.php file only needs to match the one you set the phone to use, other then that, just make sure the username exists as an account within wordpress.
It took me some fiddling to get it working, but now it does… awsome… I wonder if video upploads just as easily.

Toshiba 36zp38 TV for sale

Its time for me to sell my trusty CRT TV. Its been a beautiful TV with awsome quality for a CRT screen. Reviews for it all say it was best of it time, but as its about 3-4 years old now I decided it was time to upgrade.

It comes with its own stand, remote, external speakers and internal Sub Woofer and manual.

Due to its weight and size, I’m not going to arrange for delivery, so Pick-up only.

Originally when I got it, it was about £1600, I’m looking to get £200 or nearest offer for it. Or you can bid for it on .

Its been a little while since my last entry… so heres a couple of bits.

Watched the Calzagie fight t stupid o’clock, fell asleep somepoint between it finishing nd 0530.
Nola visited Trefforest, carnage ensued. Photos on facebook. Nola bought Jack a a new ball as present. Unfortunately, Jack being Jack, decided that it was too good a gift to play with so decided he should bury it for safe keeping. In doing so he dug up several of my leeks and Pak Choi. I’ve done my best to replant them, and hopefully, they’ll survive.
Finally bit the bullet and bought an incredibly well priced 42″ LCD 1080p TV to replace my still good Toshiba 36″. (I’ll now be selling my Toshiba if anyone is interested). The Delivery of the TV was quite eventfull, somehow CityLink lost this 42″ TV at thier depot in Splott. Thanks to the online tracking, I was able to spot this within 24hrs and get Ebuyer to send a replacement on next day delivery. I do linke EBuyer, but I think they should make some enquiries with CityLink as to how they could ‘lose’ something so big.

Thats it for now. I’ll be setting the TV up tonight, hope it works as good as the reviews. If you are interested in my Toshiba, I expect I’ll be selling for £300. As anyone who has seen it will know, its picture quality is superb for a CRT. Many people ask why I really wanted to replace it.

Grand National

As part of a tradition started years ago when I wasn’t allowed into a betting shop, I’ve placed my bet on the Grand National at Aintree.

Unlike most horse races, the Grand National is pretty unpredictable. Favourites fall at the first, outsiders finish in the top 3. So, as always I’ve picked several horses to optimise my chance of winning something back. Below are my choices, I’ve decided to put no more then £30 into this, and every one is each way. Just have to wait and see what happens now. The race is at 1615, and I’m not sure where I’ll be during it but thanks to Ladbrokes online, I can check the results out later, when with any luck I’ll be a little better off, ha ha.

I WONDERED WERE THE DAY HAD GONE
Why my house is always a tip!This is why I am always busy but don’t get anything done!!!!!For those of you that don’t get this, you will, your day is coming .Recently, I was diagnosed with : A.A.A.D.D. - Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder. This is how it manifests:I decide to water my garden. As I turn on the hose, I look over at my car and decide it needs washing. As I start toward the garage, I notice mail on the table that I collected from the letter box earlier. I decide to go through the mail before I wash the car.I lay my car keys on the table, put the junk mail in the rubbish bin under the table, and notice that it is full.So, I decide to put the bills back on the table and take out the rubbish first. But then I think, since I’m going to be near the post-box when I take out the rubbish anyway, I may as well pay the bills first.I take my cheque book off the table, and see that there is only 1 cheque left. My extra cheques are in my desk in the study, so I go inside the house to my desk where I find the can of Coke I’d been drinking. I’m going to look for my cheques, but first I need to push the Coke aside so that I don’t accidentally knock it over. The Coke is getting warm, and decide to put it in the fridge to keep it cold.As I head toward the kitchen with the Coke, a vase of flowers on the worktop catches my eye — they need water. I put the Coke on the worktop and discover my reading glasses that I’ve been searching for all morning.I decide I better put them back on my desk, but first I’m going to water the flowers. I set the glasses back down on the worktop, fill a container with water and suddenly spot the TV remote control. Someone left it on the kitchen table. I realise that tonight when we watch TV, I’ll be looking for the remote control, but I won’t remember that it’s on the kitchen table, so I decide to put it back in the den where it longs, but first I’ll water the flowers. I pour some water in the flowers, but quite a bit of it spills on the floor. So, I set the remote control back on the table, get some towels and wipe up the spill. Then, I head down the hall trying to remember what I was planning to do.At the end of the day:- the car isn’t washed - the bills aren’t paid- there is a warm can of Coke sitting on the worktop- the flowers don’t have enough water- there is still only 1 cheque in my cheque book- I can’t find the remote control - I can’t find my glasses- and I don’t remember what I did with the car keys.Then, when I try to figure out why nothing got done today, I’m really baffled because I know I was busy all day, and I’m really tired.
I realise this is a serious problem, and I’ll try to get some help for it, but first I’ll check my e-mail.Do me a favour. Forward this message to everyone you know, because I don’t remember who the hell I’ve sent it to. Garden progress and dog walk

The vegetable plot is coming along nicely as can be seen in this panoramic pic. I’ve so far planted the Leeks on the far left. On the far right is my granny smith apple tree. Next to this my wigwam for the pea plants and rosemary plant. The peas are planted and so they have a little more ease climbing the wigwam, I tied string around it. This should help the stability of the structure also.
tomorrow I’ll be transferring the Rocket, salad leaves and Pak Choi into pots so they can continue to grow neatly before I transfer them into the plot.
The center of the plot has a piece of trellace, I’m not sure if I’ll be using this or not. If it does get used, it’ll probably be for the Chilli plants.

In other news, I’ve had a day off work today while work commenced on the ceiling of my dining room (it had some water damage from a burst pipe). While the first phase of fixing was under way (plastering over top ready to artex to match front) I took Jack out for a 3 hour hike over the Graig where I put took a few photo’s of a farm that I pieced together for this panoramic.
I also took some photos overlooking Pontypridd and Trefforest and pieced them together to create this other panoramic.

Needless to say, Jack is completely knackered now.

This is just a quick test post to see if Scribe works ok. So far all seems ok, although i was having a little difficulty in getting it to connect to my Wordpress blog.
It seemed to only work when i had an open wifi connection. After some double checking of usernames and passwords, all seemed to connect ok. I’m just waiting now for an update to this beta software that will allow posting of images and possibly video clips…

Recently I’ve been trying to configure the Nokia Lifeblog software to post to this Wordpress Blog site. The observant may have noticed this has worked once or twice, but for some reason this stopped working after a couple of posts and a minor reorganisation of the site. I’ve tried most everything I can, but still no joy.

Following a slightly more recent google hunt for a solution, I’ve come across something called scribe. It’s extremely new and still in beta, and should I get it to work, it’ll prove quite productive.
