Wordmobi

I feel i have to share this for anyone else out there that has been fighting to find a way to work on their wordpress based blog sites from their nokia phones.
Wordmobi is a young and yet long awaited application. Without any need to add new php code or alter permissions, it utilises the xmlrpc that resides within a wordpress site. There is also no need to sign up for yet another social network.
All that is required is to install python onto your phone and them the application itself. Then configure Wordmobi to point at your site, with your blog’s username and password.
Hey presto, your phone can talk to your blog. You can edit and create posts, drafts and comments.
Posts are made in html, allowing the insertion of images etc into posts.
For more information visit the google code page for it.
I see great things for this software as it grows and develops. Just hope it remains free.

Cardiff food festival
by andy on Jul.13, 2008, under Moblog
Went to the international food festival down cardiff today. You may be wondering why the picture of a dalek. Well it was just rolling around doing a really bad job at looking scary.
Food festival was pretty cool. Unfortunately there was no pate to be found.
One curiosity was Rhymney brewery’s stand. They had plastered thier stand with signs saying they had Champion Beer of Wales, 2008. Last time i checked, that prize went to the Otley O8. When i asked the people on the stand, they seemed to think that because they won in 2007, that gave them the right to claim the title between when that was awarded and the next time Champion Beer would be awarded, which would include part of 2008. Don’t think that’s how works, but I’m not sure what can be done about that now. I just hope that Rhymney Brewery realise that their misinterpretation of the award hasn’t gone unnoticed.

Welcome to my home on the web. I'll bog occasionally, but most of the time you'll just see an automated "LifeStream", feeds from my other online activities.
