Did they give any reason why your phone was blacklisted? Where did you get it from- perhaps a previous owner did it? Or maybe someone attempted to blacklist a phone with a similar IMEI? After rying a new sim in the phone, it still doesn't work. Got back to Orange and was able to try the sim in another phone, which worked fine. So conclusion is the phone is at fault. After being passed to someone else, it seems that for some reason the phone was blacklisted.
