Went to see Cloverfield last night.
I quite enjoyed it. Although the single handheld camera throughout got annoying from time to time, the realism it generated added to the suspense occasionally.It doesn’t take long for the viewer (at least me) to get annoyed at the character holding the camera, not just for pointing the camera the wrong way at the right moment, but also for his general incompetence.As far as I know, there are no sequels/prequels in the pipeline. But if there are, it should be easy to produce something that maybe introduces different characters with their own cameras and their own stories of escape/defeat..
